Live network target: December 1, 2026. Public beta testing is open. Test coins have no market value. Wallets and balances will reset before the live launch. Download the beta.

Test downloads

Download Slithy Tove

Create a wallet and mine with your computer's CPU. Choose the Windows installer or Linux download below.

These downloads use the test network. Test SLTHY has no market value. Wallets and the chain will reset before the live network launches.

Windows

Slithy Tove wallet and miner

Create a wallet and start mining in one app. Slithy also runs a node on your computer.

Download Windows installer

The installer downloads the current beta, so you'll need an internet connection during setup. The app checks for updates when you open it.

Download the full offline installer, version 0.1.47

Mining starts with one CPU thread. You can change the count in Settings > Mining. Your setting stays saved through updates.

The app also checks for updates while it's running. A badge beside the version number tells you when a release is ready to review.

This release adds search to transaction history and shows transaction addresses. You can create extra receiving addresses and check your recovery words. Advanced sending lets you choose inputs or combine small rewards. The mining status and download progress displays have more room.

The installers and Slithy programs are signed by CS Idea Labs LLC. Windows may still show a SmartScreen warning for a new download. Setup verifies the release signature, file hash and publisher before installing. Mining needs an internet connection, including after an offline installation.

Linux desktop beta

Linux wallet and miner

The desktop app has the same wallet and mining controls as the Windows version and runs its own local node. There's also a terminal app below if you prefer that.

Download Linux desktop app

Version 0.1.47-beta.1 for Linux x64 desktops. Ubuntu 24.04 is the reference platform; other distributions and desktop environments need testing. Extract the archive into a folder you own, open slithy-install, then choose Install for my account. No sudo or separate .NET installation is needed.

Mining starts with one CPU thread unless you've saved a different count under Settings > CPU mining. If you have 0.1.43-beta.1 or earlier, close it and install this package once to get the updater. Your wallet data stays in place. The desktop app uses a separate wallet folder from the terminal app. Read the Linux desktop instructions.

Includes the new wallet tools and a graphical installer. It can also recover when a crash leaves its local node running. Read about the wallet tools.

Linux terminal

Linux menu tool

The install script downloads the software and checks the release signature and file hash. After installation, use the terminal menu to open your wallet or watch your miner run.

Download Linux install script

Installs Linux version 0.1.50-testnet. If you have 0.1.47 through 0.1.49, open Updates in the menu and choose Install update. The new menu checks for updates in the background and shows a notice on the mining screen. For an older beta installation, read the migration steps below first.

Before you test

Read the Terms of Use and Beta Testing. Mining uses electricity and computer resources, and rewards are not guaranteed. Test coins have no market value. Wallets and the test chain will reset before launch.

Updating from the old test chain

The test chain restarted on September 9, 2026. Old test coins do not carry over. Your previous wallet files stay on your computer. The live launch is planned for December 1, 2026, and test balances will reset again before that launch.

Windows: use Check for updates in the app. If version 0.1.35 closes without installing, or version 0.1.37 offers the same update again, exit Slithy through the notification-area menu and run the installer above once. It replaces the app without deleting your wallet files. Create a new beta wallet if prompted. A wallet created with the replacement-beta build, such as version 0.1.36, can still be used.

Linux: the new test chain needs a separate installation. The old updater won't switch networks for you. Download the new install script above. For a standard installation using the slithy-node service, stop the old service before installing:

sudo systemctl stop slithy-node
sudo systemctl show slithy-node -p MainPID -p ControlPID

Both process IDs must be 0 before continuing. Save a copy of your existing configuration and service file in a private folder. Leave old chain and wallet folders in place. Then run:

sudo systemctl disable slithy-node
sudo bash ./slithy-install.sh --install-dir /opt/slithy-beta-20260909 --service slithy-beta-20260909
sudo systemctl start slithy-beta-20260909
slithy

Run each command separately and stop if it reports an error. Log out and back in if the menu cannot read its settings. The new menu asks you to create a beta wallet. Updates within this beta then use its own signed feed.

If your installation uses different paths or a different service name, ask in the community before changing them. Do not delete your wallet folders to fix a connection problem.

If the move fails, stop the new service before restoring the old launcher links and service configuration. The old beta files remain available, but that chain cannot mine with the current public beta.

Thanks for helping find problems before launch.

First time using a wallet?

The user guide explains the basics and what to expect when you start mining. If you already know your way around, the testing notes have specific things to try.
